Our History

 The first people who founded the Greek school were Mr Vasilis Olympiou, Mr Fivos Kardanas and Mrs Olga Bradshaw.Since it first opened its doors to students and families, the Greek school went through many changes to come to its present form and status. We have tried, over the past nearly thirty years, to raise our educational standards and to offer the best possible supplementary education service in a warm, safe and homely school environment.We aim to ensure that each child has a happy and successful time in our school and we are committed to working in partnership with parents in order to achieve this.Our mission for the Maidstone Greek School is to be a secure, happy and a caring Greek Orthodox school where all children enjoy coming, make friends, play and keep up with their Greek-Cypriot origins, history, traditions and values.We believe in excellence and in encouraging children to develop their talents in a variety of ways. The school is situated in a very beautiful location and operates inside the Thomas Aveling School in Rochester. Maidstone Greek School is approved by the Greek and Cypriot Ministries of Education and is part of the Unified Institution of Greek Particular Education (EFEPE).We run classes of all levels on a weekly basis, every Saturday from 10:00 am – 13.00 pm.We accept children from the age of 6 years old to our Year 1 classes and we teach children up to GCSE level.We look forward to welcoming you and your children.
